The ensemble of traditional dances and songs „Mijat Mašković” is a unique group which inherits rural Montenegrin dances. Its members are the Bearers of the Intangible Cultural Property „Traditional dances of the Kolašin region”. Fourteen old dances of the people of this region, many of them with distinctive ritual origin, are danced followed only by the song or the rhythm of the steps. „Oj-ha” is the exclamation that is most commonly used during dancing. You can meet some of the last keepers of an old, almost forgotten dance and music tradition in one of the last rainforests of Europe that surrounds Biogradsko Lake. There will be a workshop of old dances, a competition in the exclamation of the word „Oj-ha”, a dance competition with an emphasis on dancing po crnogorski, while the best photo of the day will be chosen as well. The event starts on September 30, 2017. at 11 am in National Park Biogradska Gora.
