The Ros Tapestry depicts the Norman History of Ireland’s Ancient East. New Ross is central to at least four counties which were heavily influenced by the Normans - Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny and Carlow - and their stories are richly told here in thread. It is a unique project that started in 1998 and has involved over 150 volunteer stitchers. It is a great visitor experience, combining beautiful craftsmanship with fascinating history. We offer guided tours and multi-lingual audio-guides.
