The downtown complex of CEU has been complemented in 2016 with a new building at 15 Nador Street designed by the award-winning Irish O'Donnel - Tuomey Architects. The Neo-Classicist urban palace at 13 Nador Street originally designed by József Hild was also renovated by last autumn. It was an exciting challenge for the designing architects to create a modern university unit into a block that includes historical monuments as well. They also had to find a solution how to incorporate the Neo-Classicist palace that had been reconstructed several time, preserving and emphasizing what is left from the original values. The tour guides through the CEU campus starting from the Neo-Classicist Festetics Palace at 9 Nador Street, presenting the Art Nouveau, originally apartment house at 11 Nador Street. It continues to the freshly renovated Nador 13 and to the modern building at 15 Nador Street. The rooftop garden offers a unique view over the Danube. Meeting point: 1051 Budapest, Nádor utca 15. Entrance through the Nador 15 gate, registration at the reception desk. Start times: 2017.09.16. 11:00
