This year is the centenary of The Representation of the People Act (Westminster, 1918) which gave Irish women, and their British counterparts, partial enfranchisement. Issues addressed include the campaign and achievements of early suffragists; the militant campaign of the Irish Women’s Franchise League; suffragist journal The Irish Citizen; the movement during events from 1913 to 1918; the relationship between feminism and nationalism and how that impacted on the success of the movement.
