The theatre shows were one of the most favourite form of public entertainment in ancient Pula and the remains of two theatres build during the 1st century are the best proof of that. The theatre stage, in front of a luxurious facade of the building, hosted numerous plays with actors wearing costumes and, almost inevitably, theatre masks. Visitors of the exhibition “A Window into the Past – Roman Theatre Masks” will have the opportunity to see on the presented archaeological findings how these masks looked like.
