Open doors at Tyrfingsstaðir
Substantial restoration has taken place on the old turf farm at Tyrfingsstaðir in Skagafjörður and the enterprise has been used to learn how turfbuildings were built in the past. All the houses were built with timber, turf and rock using centuries-old Icelandic tradition.
