Built of ashlar limestone to the classical design of Thomas Cooley, Archbishop Richard Robinson included the Library in his plans for a university and gave many of its collections.  A Greek inscription above the entrance is translated to 'the healing place of the soul'.  That remains our motto, and we invite you to experience it on EHOD.    We will have a temporary exhibition to coincide with EHOD.  We will have treasure and scavenger hunts for children and families, and will put our 'Playful Museums' training into use with a small play area with soft toys and books for children. As we work to become a Dementia Friendly Museum, we will be keen to welcome those living with dementia and their carers.
