Hiring designers for European Heritage Days programme
About European Heritage Days
The "European Heritage Days" is a joint Council of Europe / European Commission programme involving the 50 countries signatory to the European Cultural Convention. Every year more than 30 million Europeans take advantage of the Programme, gaining free access to thousands of heritage sites and special events.
About the role
We are looking for experienced designers to deliver various types of design work on topics relevant to European heritage, in order to transfer clear and appealing messages to the visitors and organisers of the European Heritage Days events. You will be working on the design of numerous brochures, guidelines, leaflets, banners, social media posts, and other numerous promotional material. Good examples are the Rules of participation for the Call for European Heritage Days Stories or the annual 101 Event ideas brochure.
For some of the materials you will be asked to make preparations for online publishing only, while other pieces of work might consider the printed version as well.
For all the requested work you will be provided with a detailed brief from the European Heritage Days team and every brief has one thing in common: We encourage fresh and bold design and we are not afraid to approve it. :) You will be the one to shape the visual aspect of rich shared European heritage of 50 countries.
- Experienced in graphic design and desktop publishing tools with a varied portfolio and demonstrable experience
- Ability to produce graphics that capture attention
- Creative flair and strong ability to transfer requirements into design
If you are interested in bringing shared European heritage into your daily routine, widening your portfolio with work on culture we want to hear from you. Make sure you read the Terms of References carefully, then fill out the Act of Engagement and send it to us together with other requested documents before 8 February 2021.
