Journées européennes du patrimoine
Entering a Grand Year for European Heritage Days
“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better,” Einstein once said. This year, millions of Europeans took his advice and delved deeper into the meanings of natural heritage around them! We explored public and private gardens, urban greenery, national parks, woodlands, coastlines, and other European landscapes to find out more about the intrinsic links between people and nature. Dozens of European countries joined this cross-border adventure under the European Heritage Days common theme “Heritage and Nature,” making 2017 an incredible year for Europe’s Heritage! Our next step and a shared goal is to make the coming year even more incredible! 2018 is a milestone for Europe’s heritage and its key theme, “The Art of Sharing,” will help us uncover magnificent new things about our common history, values, and goals! I am excited to invite you to join this stellar year for European heritage and get creative with the new EHD theme!
