Overview

27 September 2025 (11:30 - 13:30) 28 September 2025 (11:30 - 13:30) Book a guided tour of the Category A Listed Bannockburn House. Thought to date from the mid-17th Century, this nationally important building is an outstanding example of a Scottish country house. It retains many original features and has a long and significant history. Empty for over half a century, the house and gardens were bought by the local community and are now run by a group of dedicated volunteers who oversee one of the largest heritage conservation and restoration efforts in Scotland. © Matt Reid, volunteer, with thanks. Due to current site conditions access to the house is not through the drive to front door. Please follow signs which will direct you to the rear of the building. The woodland path is mulched or grass and uneven in places, please wear sturdy footwear like trainers or walking shoes. Conditions dictate building access arrangements for those with limited mobility must be discussed in advance with our team. While we are working hard to expand our accessibility options, unfortunately building issues mean we are limited at present. Please email admin@bannockburnhouse.scot we are happy to discuss needs and do our best to provide alternative arrangements.
