18 September 2021 (10-5) Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival Ghost Signs of
Glasgow is a project which documents, researches and archives fast
disappearing faded signs around the city. This is a project made possible
through grant-aided assistance from the Glasgow City Heritage Trust. A Ghost
Sign is a fading sign that represents a business, establishment or street that
often no longer exists. The project works in collaboration with Glasgow’s
local communities who often connect with the project through social media.
While all of the materials produced throughout this project, including maps,
research, text, photographs, and graphic design have been a collective effort
drawing on the combined expertise of the wonderful volunteer-led Ghost Signs
