Overview

18 September 2021 (10-5) Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival Womens Type Foundry
is a platform set up for the continued exploration of design and research in
the field of typography. Founded by communication design graduates of the
Glasgow School of Art, Alex Storm Hague and Merryn Kerrigan, our current
interests and work centres around creating accessible workshops, supporting
Ghost Signs of Glasgow and producing murals for venues such as Salt Space Co-
op. Join us for a workshop for a sign painting taster session. We’ll spend the
morning practising some basic strokes and letterforms, then after a lunch
break, we’ll come back to produce our final letters. All materials will be
provided but please wear something you don’t mind getting a bit of paint on.
We’ll take a break for lunch so feel free to bring a packed lunch or you can
eat out nearby. Booking is essential - check back on this page on 1 September
for the booking link. Facilities Disabled Access Disabled WC WC
