Take a walk back in time following the medieval burgh defences and industries
along the course of the lade downstream from the Lower City Mills. Now largely
underground, the route of these lades follows that of the mediaeval city
walls. Local archaeologist, David Bowler, who has researched the area, will
showcase some of his findings and paint a picture of how the lade and its
surroundings came to shape some of Perth’s streetscapes. Places on the walking
