Overview

4 September 2021 (6pm-8:30pm) Renfrewshire There has been a place of worship
called "Mossvale" in the north of Paisley since 1877. Designed by Robert
Baldie in a Gothic style, the church on Greenock Road opened in 1884. It has
been home to the current congregation since 1974 and now includes a Hall
(1968) Community Café (2015), and in the grounds the Tree of Hope (2021).
Enjoy a tour of the church building and gardens. No booking required, 100+
tour spaces available. Craft activities will be available for children. Tree
of Hope lighting celebration 8:00pm-8:30pm. After so many losses in 2020 –
loss of life, cancellation of events and celebrations, Mossvale wanted to
create a beacon of hope that could be seen and appreciated by everyone living
or passing through the North of Paisley. Our beautiful plum tree has been
repurposed as a Tree of Hope. This sculpture of nature and light combined will
change in appearance through the seasons, with springtime blossoms, leaves and
fruit, through to winter again, providing a comforting radiant glow. The tree
will remind us that during dark or stormy times there is light, and there is
hope. Facilities Disabled Access WC Refreshments Parking
