5 September 2021 (12:30pm-3:30pm) Renfrewshire Our Doors Open Day will run
between 12.30 and 3.30pm on Sunday the 5th of September. We are offering 3
parts, a tour of the Crematorium, an outdoor heritage trail and the chance to
view the newly refurbished Martyr’s Chapel where tea , coffee, juice and cake
will be served. Please note that the Crematorium tour visits operational areas
and is accessed via a flight of stairs so is not accessible for everyone. This
part of the tour is not recommended for children under the age of 16. Woodside
Crematorium Tour- running every 30 minutes starting at 12.30, last tour at
3pm. Please meet at the waiting room, opposite the Crematorium. Woodside’s
Heritage Trail tour take approximately 45 minutes and will take place at 1pm
and at 2.30pm. It tours the woodland pathways around the older graves within
the cemetery and is not accessible for those with limited mobility. Please
wear suitable footwear and as it’s a Scottish summer bring a waterproof jacket
just in case. Complimentary tea, coffee, cake and soft drinks will be
available in Martyr’s Chapel between 1pm and 3.30pm. You are welcome to look
around the newly refurbished funeral service room and use the washroom
facilities which include an accessible toilet. Facilities Disabled Access
