Stirling City Heritage Trust was set up by Historic Environment Scotland
(formerly Historic Scotland) in partnership with Stirling Council as a means
of delivering focused investment in the historic built environment of the City
of Stirling. Stirling City Heritage Trust are pleased to offer a Heritage
Trail of the city centre, showcasing some of the many buildings designed by
local architects McLuckie & Walker and John Allan in the late 19th and early
20th century. You can pick-up a free copy of our self-guided Heritage Trail

This walking tour celebrates the architectural heritage of
King Street. Originally the royal burgh’s ‘High Gait’ the street was
transformed in the nineteenth century to be the jewel in Stirling’s commercial
crown with banks, large commercial retailers and well-known hotels. This walk
in King Street will provide an insight into the architectural legacy of this
period. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the walk. Booking
