## The Kilmorie cross-slab: enigmatic imagery in the Rhins – ONLINE EVENT
Join the Rhins Revealed community archaeology project for an online event
focussing on the enigmatic Kilmorie Stone with Prof. Carol Neuman de Vegvar of
Ohio Wesleyan University.
This early medieval carved stone stands close to Kirkcolm parish church in the
Rhins of Galloway. It features an ornate hammer-headed cross on one side and
two figures on the other. The symbolism of the design is much debated, and we
look forward to hearing Prof. Neuman de Vegvar’s interpretation.
The Rhins Revealed project sets out to record, investigate and conserve some
of the most important archaeological sites found on the Rhins of Galloway.
Please join the project mailing list to receive Zoom registration details for
this event.
