Peebles Hoard
Discovered by a metal detectorist in 2020, the Peebles Hoard dates to the
Bronze Age and included a sword still in its scabbard and a 3,000 year-old
horse harness, the surviving leather and wood of which has allowed experts can
map out how the harness was assembled, something “never before seen in
Britain”
