DigiResources Scottish Borders Virtual In Person Situated in the beautiful
Scottish Borders, the A-Listed Steading was the family home of sculptor,
furniture maker, environmentalist and poet Tim Stead and widely recognised as
his single most important work. The Tim Stead Trust aims to turn it into a
creative space and make it available for public use. Come with us on a tour
through the Steading at Blainslie, the extraordinary carved wooden home of
sculptor and furniture maker Tim Stead. Hear the story of how it was saved for
the nation by the Tim Stead Trust and of the Trust's inspiring plans for its
future as a creative centre. The tour will be hosted by one of the Trustees
with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to hear your ideas! We’d love
to encourage some of you to get involved with us on our journey. Tours at:
Saturday 3rd September, 10.30am-12noon; 1pm-2pm; 2.30-4pm Sunday 4th
September, 11am-12.30pm; 1.30pm-3pm Digital Resources Virtual Tour Take a
virtual tour of The Steading and experience the beautiful sculptural forms of
Tim Stead’s furniture and sculpture – often it is hard to decide which is
which. We’ll explain our plans for making this building into a creative centre
and hopefully encourage some of you to join us on our journey. Go on a virtual
guided tour! Facilities Not Accessible
