11 September 2021 (2pm-4pm) Inverclyde Meet in Lochwinnoch Rd Car Park,
beside Cargill Centre. Leaving the car park we pass the Cargill Centre and St
Columba church. Continuing, we pass St Colm’s, Kilmacolm Old Kirk and St
Fillan’s churches. We follow the road which leads to The Moss but turn off to
pass some interesting large houses, including Windyhill. After crossing the
main road we pass St Columba’s school’s sports pitch and join the Sustrans
Track to arrive outside the former railway station. We follow the road passing
the tennis courts and St Columba’s Games Hall to arrive in Birkmyre Park.
Leaving the park we join Lochwinnoch Rd and walk along to the War Memorial. On
the return back to the village, going along Churchill Rd we pass Kilmacolm
Primary School. On arriving back in the village there are several cafés for
refreshments at the end of the walk. Book your ticket here.
