Overview

19 September 2021 (10am-4pm) DigiResources Highland - Caithness The Wick
Heritage Museum is situated in the historic Thomas Telford designed
Pultneytown. Doors Open Day 2021 will take place in the Wick Heritage Museum
on 19th September. Apart from the Museum itself, there will be an opportunity
to view a traditional scaffie fishing boat in the Museum’s Courtyard; a series
of large scale maps of Caithness displayed in the newly refurbished Cowie’s
building adjacent to the Museum. Also within this building visitors will be
able to view some of the larger items from our collection that are not within
the Museum. It is also planned that a new exhibition of the work of Caithness
artist, John Nicolson will be available from this date. Digital Resources Self
guided Heritage Trail Our digital offering will include a selection of
Johnston Photographs, recordings from Wick Voices and a digital heritage
trail, which can be explored on if people are in the area. Digitally explore
