Often, when we hear the name of the Museum of Reproductions
Artists of Bilbao, the memory of Manuel Balsa, better known as "The Russian", appears. The former drawing teacher of the Museum for decades, knew how to give a new impulse to the institution's raison d'être - the education - and also put the museum in the centre of the academic world of the arts for many generations of Biscayans.
