For us, the national heritage of Ukraine is not just a collection of cultural and historical monuments. It is a spirit that preserves centuries-old traditions, values, beliefs and heroic pages of the past. The national heritage of Ukraine is a mystical and real world where every object, every song, every rite tells about our history, culture and spirituality.
The melody "Shchedryk" has represented our country for several centuries. Even modern generations preserve the traditions of the Ukrainian people, which are our cultural heritage that we must preserve, because shchedryks, as one of the genres of calendar and ritual poetry, occupy a special place in this heritage.

The Shchedryk warms the hearts of people around the world and I hope that this melody will be included in the UNESCO list, which, since the beginning of the full-scale war, has started to include cultural monuments in the list of Ukraine's intangible heritage.
