100 years of Change in our Pockets”
One of our events for this years National Heritage week and it takes pace in Bohermeen community centre on Saturday August 17th from 12 to 4pm.

There will be a display of coinage of Ireland from 1928 and coins and notes from over 50 countries on display and some of these countries no longer exist.

This small but important look at the changing times of our currency from the pound with 220 pennies to the decimal punt of 100 pennies and gives us an insight into the importance of knowing what is in your pocket.

Its an event to bring along the children and show them what you spent, your parents and grandparents in their day.
