Overview

Maner coz Kerézellec Place of residence of the Huon de Kerézellec family, the old manor, the domestic chapel and the outbuildings already exist at the beginning of the 15th century. The buildings threaten ruin in 1580 and in the seventeenth, a campaign of works (1610-1630) allows the restoration of the old walls and an extension of the manor. A dovecote and a mill with its pool, are located not far from the farm door. On the truce of Tréflévénez, about twenty other farms complete the domain of Kerézellec. The family also owned other properties in Saint Frégant (the manor of Lesguern), Hanvec (the mill of Bodrézal), Tréhou (the Black Rock), Plouvorn (the old manor of Kerillio). In 1650, Alain Huon de Kerézellec was made a knight of the Order of Saint Michel. The family owned Maner coz until 1772, when the estate passed, by marriage, into the family of Lestang du Rusquec. The branch of Kerézellec thus became extinct by merging into the family of Lestang du Rusquec who occupied the manor
