A heritage talk on the River Gaine, which flows through Multyfarnham, will be hosted at Abbey Blooms Coffee Shop in Multyfarnham at 11am on Saturday 24th August 2024. Jointly hosted by Mairead Greene of Multyfarnham Tidy Towns and Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO) officer Cathal Flood, both speakers will explore the history of the River Gaine and the links with Lough Derravaragh as an area for action with LAWPRO and the important links to water quality locally.
