The railway reached Sisak in 1862, which marked a beginning of a new phase of the economic development of the town. The railway enabled even more intensive traffic and a more intensive development of Sisak. However, the railway reached its peak after the World War II when it was used for the transport of the majority of products of the Sisak industries. There are numerous interesting stories about and related to the railway which will be presented during the lecture.
