AK Bell Library
13 September 2025 (09:30 - 16:00)
AK Bell Library is a grade A listed building which was designed by Perth City Architect, William Macdonald Mackenzie and operated as an Infirmary from 1836 until 1914 when it became a hospital for WW1 soldiers. Later on, it became a tuberculosis centre and offices for Perth Education Authority before reopening in 1994 as AK Bell Library. These tours are an opportunity to explore the building and learn about the conservation and work that takes place within it.
Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the library building and a chance to see some of the treasures of our archive and local history collections, led by our expert librarians and archivists.
