Jardunaldia 1927 eta 1967 bitartean Lizarra, Vitoria-Gasteiz eta Bergara lotu zituen "trenaren" bagoiak ezagutuz hasiko da. Vasco-Navarro trena funtsezkoa izan zen Arabako Mendialdearen garapen sozial, ekonomiko eta kulturalerako.

Bigarren zatia bizikletaz egingo da. Bide berde bikaina aprobetxatuz, trenbideak behar izan zituen azpiegituren zati bat ezagutuko dugu, baita bidezubi batzuk, tunelak eta Atauriko geltoki zaharraren kanpoaldea ere, gaur egun birgaitze-prozesuan dagoena. Ibilbidea osatzeko, bideak zeharkatzen dituen baso ederretako flora eta faunari buruzko informazioa eta bizimodu tradizionalari buruzko xehetasunak emango dira.

1. Ertaina (15 km, gutxi gorabehera).

Bizikletak: 

1. Bide berdearen interpretazio zentroko bizikletak erabiliko dira.

Gomendioak: 

1. Joan zaitez arropa erosoarekin eta kirol-oinetakoekin. Ura eramatea gomendatzen da.

La jornada comenzará visitando los vagones del Centro de Interpretación de la vía Verde del ferrocarril Vasco-Navarro, que operó entre 1927 y 1967, uniendo Estella, Vitoria-Gasteiz y Bergara. El tren Vasco-Navarro fue fundamental para el desarrollo social, económico y cultural de Montaña Alavesa.

La segunda parte del recorrido se hará en bicicleta. Aprovechando la espléndida vía verde conoceremos parte de las infraestructuras que necesitó el ferrocarril, algunos viaductos, túneles e incluso el exterior de la antigua estación de Atauri, actualmente en proceso de rehabilitación. El recorrido será completado con información sobre la flora y fauna de los hermosos bosques por los que transita la vía así como con detalles de la forma de vida tradicional.

1. Media (Aproximadamente 15 km).

Bicicletas: 

1. Se utilizarán las bicicletas del propio centro de interpretación de la Vía verde.

Recomendaciones: 

1. Acuda con ropa cómoda y calzado deportivo. Se recomienda llevar agua.

Bicycle tour: Route along the Greenway of the Basque-Navarre Railway: Past, present and future of a path that communicates, creates community and preserves nature.

The day will begin by visiting the carriages of the Interpretation Center of the Greenway of the Basque-Navarre railway, which operated between 1927 and 1967, linking Estella, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bergara. The Basque-Navarre train was fundamental for the social, economic and cultural development of Montaña Alavesa.

The second part of the tour will be done by bicycle. Taking advantage of the splendid greenway, we will see part of the infrastructure that the railway needed, some viaducts, tunnels and even the exterior of the old Atauri station, currently in the process of rehabilitation. The tour will be completed with information about the flora and fauna of the beautiful forests through which the road passes as well as details of the traditional way of life.

1. The bicycles from the Greenway interpretation center will be used.
