Overview
Built in the 16th century by the inhabitants of Morlaix to protect the city from English looting, the castle of the Taureau was restored and enlarged by Vauban, at the request of Louis XIV. He then successively assumed the functions of defense, prison, secondary residence, and then sailing school before being threatened by ruin in the early 80s. The discovery of this fort at the sea is a real journey into the heart of History.
