Adam Smith Global Foundation offers you an opportunity to explore their exciting Heritage Centre, timeline and community garden, created to celebrate Kirkcaldy’s most famous son, the economist and moral philosopher, Adam Smith, in his 18th Century town birthplace.
As part of Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith Birthplace Initiative, this is an opportunity to see Adam Smith Global Foundation’s exhibition of his life and times, highlighting the global importance of Smith, an 18th century moral philosopher and economist, both then and since. Listen to our ambitious plans to further develop our activities, locally, nationally and internationally.
The Adam Smith Garden, where he would have spent many hours in contemplation of philosophical and political economic issues, will also be open for perusal and use as a quiet space.
Come along and enjoy the exhibition and hear about our exciting plans for the latest phase of this 'Birthplace Initiative' including the garden and education projects.
Ground floor is wheelchair accessible but there are only stairs to the upper floor. The garden is accessible but uneven.
