Overview

Built on the vestiges of the Castle-old man of Aubenas, the House Michel Veyrenc enters the history books in 1593 with the arrest of the happy Jesuits Jacques Salès and Guillaume Sautemouche, recognised at the rank of the martyrs by the catholic Church. It will be strongly harmed during the revolt of Roure in 1670\\. It is by 1740 when François-Louis Barthélémy, lawyer(avocado), makes build its staircase. His son will be first consul of Aubenas in 1789\\. Besides the staircase, remarkable for its stéréotomie and its wrought iron banisters of rocaille style, it is possible to point out in the court(yard) of entrance(entry) and the ground floors of the vestiges of medieval time(period) and system of food(supply) of the tank in rainwaters. The rests of an old(former) big(great) and cooking(kitchen) and a hall(market) in the past open are also raised(found). In facade on the street Jourdan, the big(great) front-door with bumps dates the XVIIIth century, and in opposite, in North, the carter court(yard) also keeps(preserves) vestiges of the Castle-old man; the facade defers the ravens of the home with its two-light frame and in balcony who supported(bore) the places of ease go back up(raise) to the XVIIth century.
