Art Deco 1925 >< Mode 2025 offers a reinterpretation of Art Deco through the prism of 10 Brussels designers. Echoing the images and magazines of the period, in which drawings and photographs show the creativity of dressmakers between the wars, each designer will present his or her contemporary vision of the codes of the movement in a fashion silhouette. With the participation of: Théo Auquière, Natacha Cadonici, Madeleine De Mey, Dawit Felichie Ketema, You Huize, Conni Kaminski, Jessie Lecomte, Jean-Paul Lespagnard, Romain Lopez Alvarez, Julie Menuge. Production: Halles Saint-Géry. Coordination: Mode-in.Brussels. Scenography: ArchiStory, Cristina Marchi, Dominique Hambÿe. Graphic design: Dominique Hambÿe. Video: Mendori Films, Maxime Baldewyns. The exhibition is in French, Dutch and English. With the support of: Musée Mode & Dentelle (Caroline Esgain), Ville de Bruxelles, Loterie Nationale. This exhibition is presented as part of Art Deco Year 2025, jointly led by urban.brussels and visit.brussels, in collaboration with the non-profit organisation Patrimoine & Culture.
