Join us to celebrate National Heritage Week by learning more about the value of Louth’s Parks to our natural heritage.

Led by Bat Conservation Ireland, we will explore St. Helena’s Park in Dundalk town centre. Using special bat detecting equipment we can find out what species can be found nesting and feeding in the area. We will learn about the important role that bats play, where they might roost and what we can do to support and raise awareness of the value of our brilliant bats.

This is a free event and suitable for adults and children aged 7+. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

This event is weather dependent and may have to be rescheduled if there is heavy rain or high winds.

Booking is essential as places are limited.

This National Heritage Week event has been organised by Louth County Council with funding support from National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) through the Local Biodiversity Action Fund.

The Local Authority Biodiversity Officer Programme is delivered in Partnership with the Heritage Council.
