Breakfast on the grass at the Haras national d'Uzès and exceptional guided tour
The Haras national d'Uzès is a fairly recent stud farm in the history of these institutions. It was built in 1972 only. It was created following the removal of two stallion depots, the one in Arles (created in 1859) and the one in Perpignan (created in 1927). This location has facilitated the management of livestock in the South-Mediterranean region, which was previously the responsibility of the Haras d'Annecy, Rodez and Tarbes. The Haras national d'Uzès now houses the headquarters of the territorial delegation Mediterranean Arc of the IFCE, which radiates on the Regions Occitanie, PACA and Corsica. Its agents carry out missions of support of the territorial equine sector and assist the communities in their projects related to the horse. The site has a resource centre on the discipline of hitching, including a vocational training centre.
