28 September 2025 (11:00 - 16:00)
Bridgend Farmhouse is a traditional 18th/19th century farm steading, now converted into an independent community centre. We have our own allotments, a small garden, a row of workshops, a bothy, a bike barn, a large marquee, an exhibition room and a kitchen and cafe.
On Saturday 27th our "bike barn" will be open for repairs and sales and the cafe will be open as usual 11am-4pm. Sunday 28th will be one of our quarterly Fair Days with produce from our allotments, arts and craft shop and cafe on sale.

2025 Theme Architectural Heritage: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future
Bridgend Farmhouse was a typical city farm until the year 2000, providing fruit, meat and vegetables to grocery shops in Edinburgh. Our heritage project has interviewed local people who remember working on the farm. The building itself retains many of its original features, the old winding staircase, the sash-cord windows and chimney stacks. Our bike barn was the farm piggery and its stones are believed to be from a chapel dating back to 1518. So we look back at the farm's past but we also look to its future as a community centre offering training in gardening, cooking, woodwork, arts and crafts and bike maintenance.

There is very limited parking space, reserved for disabled parking only. But about a dozen cars may be parked across the road at the east entrance to Inch Park.
