Curious about old stuff you've picked up in your garden? Bring them along (or any old collection) to show & ID with Society of Old Lucan, for Heritage Week.

This event is for Heritage Week 2024 by Society for Old Lucan & Lucan Library: it's a drop-in event suitable for all ages.

Bring along any old items you've found or picked up and are curious about. Have an old piece of pottery you dug up when gardening? Bring it along and we'll ID it! We'll bring along some interesting surface finds we've discovered around Lucan for you to examine and discuss.

We're also keen for collectors of old things to bring along a sample from their collection for others to view. Maybe you have some old postcards, photos, pottery, tickets, letters? We'll have tables for you to put your collection on. This is a hands-on event, but if your collection is delicate, we'll have "DO NOT TOUCH" signs for you to use.

We'll also have a fantastic collection of history books for you to help yourself to, donated by the daughter of a former SOL member.
