Join us in the garden of Brú Chrónáin / Round Tower Visitor Centre for tours
on Thursday, 18th at 6pm and 7pm or Sunday, 21st at 10.30am or 11.30am, led by
a friendly volunteer tour guide. In keeping with the theme of this year’s
Heritage Week – Biodiversity – learn about the uses of some of the vegetation
in the Visitor Centre garden which features many of the herbs and crops common
to the monasteries of early medieval Ireland at the time of the thriving
7th-11th century monastery of St Crónán Mochua. Everything in the garden is
either edible, herbal or medicinal - enjoy learning about some of the uses of
the plants in medieval times!
