La torre de Etxaburu servirá de escenario —y de comedor— para acercarnos a ese patrimonio (in)material que es la gastronomía. ¿Qué se comía y bebía en la comarca en la Edad Media? Un recorrido desde los platos más habituales hasta los más codiciados. También conoceremos los modos de comer: ¿cuántas veces se comía al día?, ¿había manteles y servilletas en aquellos tiempos?... Y para tener clara la materia degustaremos algunos de aquellos platos y productos. Algunos muy tradicionales, como el queso y el pan de Izurtza o el txakolí de la zona. Otros más sofisticados, aderezados con muchas especias.

The tower of Etxaburu will serve as a stage -and dining room- to approach us to that (in)material heritage that is gastronomy. What was eaten and drunk in the region in the Middle Ages? A journey from the most common dishes to the most coveted. We will also learn about the ways of eating: how many times a day people ate, were there tablecloths and napkins in those times...? And to get a clear idea of the subject, we will taste some of those dishes and products. Some of them are very traditional, like the cheese and bread from Izurtza or the local txakoli. Others are more sophisticated, seasoned with lots of spices.
