Overview
Carmunnock is the last remaining village situated within the Glasgow City Council area. It became a conservation village in 1970.There are many cottages in the village that date back to the 1600's. Our vibrant community is committed to preserving and developing village life for our 1880 residents.
Carmunnock was the ‘green’ centre through the ages where historically women of the village laundered sheets for rich families and hotels because of the cleaner, greener air.
Carmunnock is full or musicians, artists, storytellers and creatives where many paintings, photographs have been created over the centuries. Some of which continues today.
Beautiful walks with our heritage trail for visitors to enjoy.
