To celebrate the inscription of the Amateur Dramatic Tradition on the national inventory of intangible cultural heritage, this event will place as part of the official opening of an exhibition at Cork City Library; "The amateur dramatic tradition of Cork City after the Civil War, 1923-1930". it will include a performance and interviews with stalwarts of the Cork Shakespearean Company on this the centenary of its founding. The have been central to the amateur movement in the city and its historical legacy and commitment to the amateur movement is worthy of celebration.
