Celebration Of Oral History in Achill
Everyone has a special story to share. But unless we systematically record and archive our personal histories, we risk losing them forever. Join us to see how we are working with the community to preserve Achill's extraordinary history using oral history. Come to our ‘Celebration of Oral History In Achill’ community event Saturday 24th August 2024 10.00 – 13.00 hrs Ashleam National School Achill Island F28 DY03.
On the day, we will explore why oral history is more important than ever. You will hear excerpts from our unique oral history collection. You will also have the chance to contribute to the development of this very special oral history project. We very much look forward to seeing you then.
Free entry & free refreshments.
Places limited to 25. Booking essential via the Eventbrite link below or email Dr Angela Maye-Banbury info@achilloralhistories.com
