Clay workshop "Betschdorf: the art of salt stoneware pottery"
Castle with staves(moats) of high Middle Ages, Bucheneck was invested(surrounded) by several noble families, of Ferrette in Pfaffenheim via(including) the knights of Sultz. In 1289, he(it) became the seat(siege) of the episcopal bailiff. Sold in 1793 as very national to individuals, he(it) belongs since 1977 to the City of Soultz. Ten rooms offer to the visitors an overview of the history(story) of Soultz: the big(great) families, the illustrator Robert Beltz, the old(former) jobs(businesses), order of Malta, Jewish memory, suits(costumes)... Open from May 2nd till October 31st from 14 h till 17 h, every day except Tuesdays
