The Camp de Rivesaltes Memorial is a place of history and memories, open to the contemporary world. Inaugurated in October 2015, the Memorial is built amidst the remains of the barracks, witnesses of the fate of more than 60,000 people. This brand in space makes it a unique place, which accounts for the trauma of the second twentieth century: the Spanish War, the Second World War and the wars of decolonization. The Camp de Rivesaltes Memorial is also an unusual contemporary building that earned the Silver Square to its architect, Rudy Ricciotti.
