The Castle of Varennes was built in the XIth century from which there remains(subsists) today even the tower of staircase called "the donjon of the year 1000". It is organised around a squared main courtyard which they reach by an old(former) drawbridge which spans dry staves(moats). It contains two main buildings connected(bound) by two galleries. The set(group) is flanked(thrown) of 4 round towers which confer on it a lot of charm. Altered in the XIXth century, the main building was reorganised and opened on the outside(exterior), what allows the rooms(parts,plays) of reception to open on the park.
