In this most old(former) church of Bressuire, quoted from the Xth century, the monks in the order of saint Benoist had settled down. This small monastic community persisted up to Revolution. Sold, as very national, she(it) becomes a farm building. In 1948, the association of history(story) "friends du old men Bressuire" urges the municipality to buy the church which is restored. The inside possesses some more fragments of wall painting as well as a crypt.
