Overview
The conference, moderated by Francis Stoffel, professor of art history and president of the Société d'Histoire de Cernay, offers an in-depth analysis of the reconstruction of the city after the First World War, with a particular look at the Saint-Étienne church and the Protestant temple. It highlights the way in which art, memory, symbolism and community engagement have come together to breathe new life into these places of worship battered by conflict. The introduction will be given by the pastor Frédéric Wennagel and the priest Matthieu Alokpa. Accessibility
