Conference "Three museums in historical sites: the Abbey Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Besanço…
In 2025, the theme of the 42nd edition of the European Heritage Days is "Architectural Heritage". To launch one of the national events most followed by the public in Europe, the museum of the Abbey invites the architect Adelfo Scaranello, designer of his first museum of France in 2008: the museum of the Abbey. The public knows one of his emblematic creations: the Maison du Parc national régional (PNR) du Haut-Jura in Lajoux. The building of Lajoux, bold architecture and perfectly integrated into its environment, has been the subject of a High Environmental Quality approach. Although the museum has another purpose due to its program of conservation and presentation of its collections, common points with the PNR House are undeniable, due to the thought of the architect who acts in the matter: choice of compactness and simplicity of volumes, perspective on the landscape, integration of modernity in urban or rural spaces, work on light. The conference proposed by Adelfo Scaranello will address architecture through three museum architectures located in historical sites, complementing the Abbey Museum: the Museum of Fine Arts in Besançon and the Camille Claudel Museum in Nogent-sur-Seine, the first museum in the world dedicated to Camille Claudel (1864-1943).
