In celebration of both National Heritage Week and Donegal Town's 550th anniversary, Donegal Castle is hosting a week of crafts - connecting local makers in our community. Errigal Handweaver, Siobhán Ní Ghallchóir will be on site in Donegal Castle demonstrating the art of handweaving the 21st-23rd of August. She will also conduct two 60 minute weaving workshops suitable for a child and accompanying adult or individual. This is an opportunity to learn about basic weaving and yarn processing. Participants will make a small woven coaster(s)- 8cmx8cm - to take home. There are 8 spaces per workshop. One child and their adult is one space. Suitable for children 8+. Booking is essential.
