Creating a unique mosaic for the 2025 Heritage Days celebration

La Fourmilière, rue d’Aumale 19C, 1070 Anderlecht
Show on the map
20 - 21 September 2025
Overview

In front of La Fourmilière cultural café, in the heart of Anderlecht’s historic centre and a stone’s throw from the Maison d’Erasme, this open-air workshop will combine creativity and heritage. The site, at the crossroads of art, culture and conviviality, is set in a unique setting: a rare modernist building designed in 1925 by Belgian avant-garde figure Victor Servranckx. Inspired by the Streamline Moderne style, the building is distinguished by its sober lines, horizontal dynamics and elegant geometry. The activity is perfect for young and old to discover the art of mosaic, with a special focus on children. Everyone can create their own composition inspired by the Art Deco aesthetic, including reproducing the Heritage Days logo. This is a creative, fun way to celebrate heritage in an exceptional architectural setting. This workshop is designed for children of all linguistic backgrounds. The activity lasts between 1 and 2 hours, in groups of 4 maximum. Photographs are permitted with the consent of the participants.
